Carrie Hope Fletcher is an actress, singer, song-writer, author, blogger and vlogger. I have been watching her YouTube videos for a few years and she is without a doubt one of the most inspiring people I have ever seen. All her videos are filled with positivity and love. If you haven’t heard of her or seen or read any of her things, please do. I have been fortunate enough to watch her in Les Miserables, as Eponine, back in the summer of 2013 with a very good friend. We loved the whole show and we were way too excited when Eponine first appeared on stage.
She obviously has many talents, but her writing is truly amazing.
All I Know Now is a non-fiction book, that was published last year, filled with fun stories from her life. The whole book is based on her blog, with some chapters even being some of her posts. Every chapter has some sort of message whether it is about love, life or friendships. The book is aimed at anyone, personally I think girls and boys would love to read it but it’s probably aimed at girls more so. It is the perfect book for when you are hitting that age where you don’t really know what’s going on with yourself anymore. That time everyone has where they think they are meant to “find themselves”, when in fact there is no age where that is a strict requirement.
Carrie does well to point that out in her book and in her videos. It is of course important to move on with your life, but it doesn’t matter how you do it as long as you are happy and you’re not making anyone upset.
When you are reading what she has written you can clearly hear her voice, it is 100% her writing these stories. Her writing makes you feel comfortable, it’s more like you are having an actual conversation rather than reading words on a page.
She also promotes various charities like the British Hedgehog Preservation Society, where you can send used stamps to help the hedgehogs, and One Million Lovely Letters. One Million Lovely Letters is an amazing organisation set up by Jodie Ann Bickley who sends letters to people just reminding them how amazing life is and that they are amazing too.
Carrie is currently writing a new fiction novel which will be released in July. It is called On the Other Side and sounds like a gripping amazing story. It is about a woman named Evie Snow who passes away at a good age in her sleep, yet she wakes up as her younger self. She then has to uncover all these secrets she has before she can move on. I don’t know if there are books similar, however I think the whole concept of the story is brilliant.
I cannot wait to read On the Other Side and I have pre-ordered my copy already.
