One Million Lovely Letters

If you have not heard of this before then please have a google and see the website onemillionlovelyletters.com.

Jodi Ann Bickley set up this website when she was at her lowest. It is designed to make people feel better about themselves and about their lives. Hundreds of people contact Jodi and her team seeking advice or guidance. The One Million Lovely Letters team send hand written letters to all of those people who just need that small token of love to get them through whatever it is that is bringing them down.

Jodi has a book all about why she set up the charity and how it also helps her. Jodi was diagnosed with encephalitis in 2011 which made her paralysed down one side of her body. She had to learn how to write and walk again. A lot of people would have only cared about themselves in that situation however Jodi decided to set up this wonderful charity.

Everyone, and I do mean everyone, needs that little boost through difficult situations and that is what Jodi does. She calls her letters ‘a little hug in an envelope’, which is probably the sweetest thing I have ever read. I highly recommend that you read her book, I am currently reading it and it is truly inspiring and heart warming.

Due to so many people requesting letters, and the fact they are hand written, there is often a little wait for a letter. Jodi has posted a letter on her website which can help anyone anywhere. I thought I would write a few words here just in case anyone is having a stressful day.

This will be just short and sweet but I know sometimes that is all you need. Please remember that you are wonderful, beautiful, caring and important. No matter what is happening remember those meaningful words. Don’t worry about the bullies in life, don’t worry about the small obstacles you need to pass and don’t worry about the milestones ahead. Live in the now but think about the happiness that will come when you push past the bullies in life, climb the obstacles in front of you and reach the best milestone.

I hope that helped at least one person. Please take a look at onemillionlovelyletters.com and read Jodi’s book One Million Lovely Letters as soon as you can.
